Ideal Research

If I could do research on any topic, without any restrictions, I would research child abuse.  Specifically I would want to discover why people who are abused as children often become abusers as parents.  The research would ideally identify a way to stop this cycle and benefit children and families by ending child and spousal abuse. I can think of no more important topic in the early childhood field than improving child welfare.
